Thanks guys. I knew the crap weather would kill the numbers, so my thanks are due to the carefree few who even then, risked the skating rink of the Gobbins Road, never mind the poor conditions elsewhere, to get up.

Each side was planned to have at least 6, preferably 8-10. This would have meant the attacking sections would not have got bogged down anywhere for any length of time (missions whose rules create stalemates I find totally frustrating, a "race against time" mission is usually much more satisfying) plus we'd have got both missions done in the morning.

Even as it was, you got a taste of a realistic infantry section exercise, having to conduct a series of advances to contact against light opposition then a deliberate attack to destroy a stronger enemy defensive position. Both sides played with determination and fairness. Well done 1 Section and hard lines 3 Section.

Next week's Pegasus Bridge Normandy mission from 3 Platoon should be an absolute cracker, Foxtrot 58's first real WW2 themed event, and I'm really looking forward to this.

Well we always have next year, Because I would love to play it.

Thanks Ron, glad to hear that, as it's pretty well exactly what I was trying to achieve - something that would strike a chord with the old lags and at the same time, give the other guys just a taste of the real thing.
