| To: all members of Team Mladic, Balkan Special Forces From: Special Forces HQ, Belgrade Subject: dress and equipment, Operation Crna Tok (Black Tide)
Must have: - headgear - knitted woollen hat, black or green, black preferred (available at McCanns Smithfield c.£5) - smock - British DPM, any pattern (US woodland BDU also acceptable). - trousers - khaki or green (eg Primark cargo trousers , c.£8 -protective glasses -army or hiking boots (no trainers) DPM smocks are available on loan from Site QM Stores, for anyone not in possession
Must NOT have: -full face mask (night phase) - camouflaged trousers of any type, especially British DPM - any form of British headgear eg regimental beret, helmet - SA80, LSW or SLR (wood-stock SLR acceptable IF fitted with FAL-type flash-hider)
Desirable - main weapon: AK47, AKM, AK74, RPK or SVD highly desirable; next best, G3, HK33, or MP5; if possible, avoid M4, M16, SCAR, HK416 - 4 or more full AEG mags + loose ammo (minimum ammo load 4000 rounds) - webbing: any, but chest rig or battle vest preferable, if in possession - rucksack (NO bright colours) to fit over webbing - basha kit (eg poncho+green string+tent pegs, or Individual Protection Kit) or pup tent (NO bright colours) - cold rations eg Mars Bars, apples, biscuits - ration pack & cooker+ fuel if in possession - full water bottle (preferably 2) or camelback - mug & mess tins - KFS (knife, fork, spoon) - Swiss Army-type knife - torch with red filter fitted - spare batteries (AEG, torch, radio) - Night Observation Device if in possession - spare socks and underwear - wooly pully or equivalent eg fleece (NO bright colours - waterproofs if in possession (may ONLY be worn when static eg kipping or on stag) - green or black towel - spare protective glasses if in possession - NCOs: PMR radio with headset/earpiece, binos, notebook, pencil, Silva compass, basic 1st aid kit - permitted pyros (if any) - face veil or headover - cam cream/face paint - gloves - pistol, holster & ancilliaries if in possession - whistle (for night emergencies) | |

| so I am not able to use the LSW, that is erm, dissappointing lol, extremely dissappointing, so does this mean I have to pay for a rental gun as well? | |

| ye I think I may end up having to use the LSW, it is my baby, she would get angry and not talk to me for weeks if I did not play with her lol. The as she breaks done I would have to do the, 'welcome to what the F*ck have you done' gameshow | |

| Well, people do insist on picking these realistically unreliable weapons when they could have an SLR/FAL on an AK (I'm just jealous as I don't have an L-S-Trouble-U) | |

| I will grant you the LSW is a beautiful piece of kit, once again it has its problems but then again most guns have things that you will not like about them in general. SA80 family leads the way, all the way! (so long as they are working properly lol) | |
