| What can I say,I have had some fantastic airsoft weekends at F58 but this one just blew away the others. The challenge was terrific - some rough terrain, realistic missions, difficult objectives that needed people to think and work as teams, not charge right in. The players on both sides stepped right up to the mark and met the challenge head on.
The result was some really terrific fights. And despite the fierce combat and the exertion, everyone seemed to stay in such good spirits, the only bitching I heard was me playfully ticking off Sam for leaving my section to do most of the work.
Thanks to the good spirits and enthusiiasm of the players, the atmosphere was fantastic. Players weren't just dressed up in authentic-looking kit, they also really got in character. At one point I got told off by an Argie prisoner - Adde I think - who insisted on his Geneva convention rights about being taken to safety;taking my cue from him, I "snarled" back that he should tell that to his mates who were busy shooting the crap out of us ina tough firefight around "Top Malo House"! It was hard work but it was just incredible fun, too.
My only regret is that the Argentine players might feel let down to have lost out so often but they put in a terrific performance and gave the Brits a tough time. In particular, the Saturday phase and even more so, the Battle for the Bunkers and Stanley on Sunday were very close-run fights which could have gone either way. They also kept up their effort overnight, and in fact beat us to the punch by mounting a superbly-timed dawn attack on our patrol base. This nearly caught us packing to move out and was only detected because I decided to do a short prowl out to the perimeter "just in case".
Well done EVERYBODY!
Well, Sam, you pulled it off in style - your most ambitious project so far, and it was a great success. Can't wait for the next one!

| I was witness to that, it was one of their own trying to commit suicide due to losing the area to the British forces. | |

I also pointed out that you were not allowed to use POW's for dangerous work i.e. a human shield. . BTW I believe that the British forces standing outside Malo House moved quite quickly when one of the brave Argentine heros threw a hand grenade out of the door of the room prisoners were being held in. Oh Ivor latest news from the Hague has said that they will be arresting one of the section commanders for war crimes and blowing prisoners up.

News update from Reuters; commenting on the alleged "grenade incident", an MoD spokesman in Whitehall, Londion, England said "Actually, old boy,it was all the faultof those Argie POW chappies. One of them chucked a grenade at our boys, who chucked one back. So you see, the POWs had taken up arms again, definitely not cricket, eh what? Self defence and allthat, all quite in order, really. Now,where's my tea and scones?"
